प्रथम रश्मि का आना रंगिणि! तूने कैसे पहचाना? कहाँ-कहाँ हे बाल विहंगिनि! पाया यह गाना? सोयी थी तू स्वप्न नीड़ में पंखों के सुख में छिपकर, ऊँघ रहे थे घूँघट पट में वन-फूल झप कर।

English Translation

First ray's arrival, o vibrant one! How did you recognize it? From where, o young bird! Did you find this song? You were sleeping in a nest of dreams, Hidden in the comfort of your wings, And slumbering behind veiled eyelids Were the forest flowers, drowsily.
