मुझको न मिला रे कभी प्यार! प्रिय, तुमको यह अधिकार मिला! किससे कहूँ मैं अपनी बात, किससे कहूँ, 'उर की क्या प्यास?' संसार कह रहा 'छोड़ो सब,' पर क्या छोड़ूँ? कुछ भी नहीं! प्यासे प्राणों की प्यास कैसे बुझाऊँ मैं? इस सूने जीवन-पथ पर कोई संगी न मिला! चलती हूँ मैं अकेली निर्जन पथ पर सदा! प्रिय, तुमको यह अधिकार मिला! कि तुम मुझको भुला सकते हो!
