हम देखेंगे,

है कि हम भी देखेंगे,

वो दिन कि जिस का वादा है,

जो में लिक्खा है।

जब ज़ुल्म-ओ-सितम के ,

रूई की तरह उड़ जाएँगे,

हम के पाँव तले,

जब धरती धड़-धड़ धड़केगी,

और के सर ऊपर,

जब बिजली कड़-कड़ कड़केगी।

बस नाम रहेगा अल्लाह का,

जो भी है भी,

जो भी है भी।

उत्ठेगा का नारा,

जो मैं भी हूँ और तुम भी हो,

और राज करेगी ,

जो मैं भी हूँ और तुम भी हो।

English Translation

Verse by Verse

We shall witness,

It is inevitable that we too shall bear witness,

To that promised day,

Inscribed upon the eternal tablet of destiny.

When mountains of tyranny and oppression,

Will blow away like wisps of weightless cotton,

Beneath the feet of us, the downtrodden and oppressed,

When this earth will throb with an earthquake of liberation,

And above the arrogant crowns of despotic rulers,

When thunderbolts of justice will crack and roar.

Only the eternal name of Truth shall endure,

Who is simultaneously invisible and radiantly manifest,

Who is both the grand spectacle and the silent witness.

Then shall arise the sovereign cry of 'I am the Truth',

Which is I, and which is also you,

And sovereign rule shall belong to the people of the earth,

Which is I, and which is also you.
